First Visit

Dr. Lowenguth and his staff are passionate about providing the best dental care in the Victor and surrounding areas while simultaneously making sure each patient has a pleasant visit every time they come to our office. Our administrative staff is ready to help you with questions about scheduling, financial policy and insurance to make your visits as easy as possible.

What Happens at Your First Visit?

At your first visit, we will explain your diagnosis and treatment options after an initial exam. If small treatments are necessary or a check-up is needed, they can be done at the initial visit.  However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.

Information We need at Your First Appointment:

  • A referral slip, if given by a provider
  • X-rays
  • A list of medications you  take along with your physician’s phone numbers
  • If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

FAQ and Important Information

If the patient is under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the initial consult.

If you have a medical condition that affects surgery or treatment, please inform our office. This could be a condition like high blood pressure, cancer, heart surgery or diabetes. If you take any medications, please inform us before your treatment begins, or if you require medication before dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.).

If your previous dentist or other doctors have taken x-rays within 6 months, you can forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional digital films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
